Job Description

.Net Programmer/Analyst to help support and maintain a cutting-edge e-business technology solution for our clients. Should be a highly motivated individual who thrives on the challenges of working in new environments with the latest technologies. The role provides technology leadership through Web coding, problem solving, and implementing solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned).

  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions, including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL (Oracle Database), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#.NET
  • Design .NET user and custom controls integrated with Web format (code behind) for UI presentation
  • Develop common frameworks for Web portal environment
  • Develop and enforce coding and design best practices, troubleshooting, and monitoring project progress
  • Review code, ensuring adherence to common company coding practices with emphasis on code efficiency, readability, and adequate comments
  • Trouble shooting problems of all kinds (development, QA, production)


Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience with C# and .NET development
  • 2+ years lead / architectural experience
  • GUI development experience in both Web/thin and thick-client architectures
  • Strong demonstrated experience working with relational databases (i.e. Oracle) and developing database-driven .NET applications.
  • Required skills: C#, SQL , ASP.net
  • Experience using ASP.NET UI controls, 3rd party web application UI controls (e.g. Infragistics, etc), JavaScript and AJAX technologies.
  • Other Skills include: test driven development, XML, IIS, XML, XSL, XSLT/XSD
  • Experience creating APIs
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related area
  • Experience in the financial services industry and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies are a huge plus
  • Should be a strong communicator, team player, able to multi-task, and balance workload on a daily basis
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
