They are only looking for Elite Scala Tech Leads that not only have deep hands on experience working with code, but also have the ability to lead client projects. If you don't have this type of experience please don't apply to this position.

You need to have:

• Excellent problem-solving, communication and analytical skills

• Strong grasp of functional programming constructs and approaches, with a focus on Scala.

• Experience with Scala 2.10 or higher, SBT, ScalaTest, ScalaCheck

• The Lightbend Stack: Akka, Play, Slick, Akka Streams

• Fluency with SQL and/or NoSQL databases: Postgres, Riak, Cassandra, HBase, MongoDB, etc.

• You must view yourself and be viewed by your peers as one of the top development tech leads / engineers in your organization.

• You must view yourself and be viewed by your peers as one of the top development /engineering consultants in the region, but instead of working the consulting wheel you want to work full-time for an organization.

• You would most likely have 7-15+ years experience, but they would consider less if you are an A Player.

• You are comfortable leading projects as well as doing development and engineering work.

• You strive for excellence, innovation and have a passion for development and engineering.

• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.

• You are extremely comfortable leading strategy, architecture, roadmap, development, QA, SDLC, agile and technical discussions with business and technology executives and all technical stakeholders within an organization.
