VERY IMPORTANT - DON'T APPLY UNLESS THIS IS YOU - You should be an eClinical SaaS Product Manager or are in a like position within an eClinical SaaS company right now or had this type of experience in the past. --OR--You should be a Business Analyst, Product Analyst or are in a like position within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or contract research organizations (CROs), who’s an expert in using and implementing leading eClinical SaaS products on the market.

You will own our eClinical SaaS client’s product and services while collaborating with a cross functional team to create product strategy, execute competitive market analysis, gather user feedback, utilize outbound marketing, provide thought leadership and more. 

The approximate time spent on major tasks are:

  • 30% - Gathering client requirements, meeting with customers, and/or product demos.
  • 30% - Product Scrum and Sprint Planning/Reviews with Development team. 
  • 30% - Writing of User Requirements/Functional Specs and relevant validation documentation. 
  • 10% - Product Marketing via writing/reviewing product marketing materials as well as blogs and white papers as the SME for each product.

  • Own the CMS/DMS product and Regulated Document Management that provides specific workflows in the Life Sciences focused on Regulatory Information Management (RIMS), Quality Management (QMS), and clinical workflows.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers (current and prospective) and assist in customer acquisition. 
  • Identify, articulate and prioritize new product features and benefits via interactions with customers, internal SMEs and industry events focused on the product.
  • Write business requirements, specifications, prioritization, and development of product enhancements and product initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with the agile development team by delivering detailed user and functional requirements, review design documents, oversee product testing to provide feedback, and prioritize fixing product defects.  
  • Collaborate with marketing to manage delivery of all aspects of the product launch process and go-to-market strategy.
  • Assist in creating product marketing collateral and product sales tools, such as product positioning, product presentations, sales proposal templates, competitive sales tools and white papers. 
  • Execute competitive analysis when determining new feature sets to help to grow the product and improve positioning against the competition.
  • Participate in sales efforts from a support perspective including but not limited to writing and reviewing RFI/RFP/RFQ content and positioning.

Qualifications

  • YOU MUST have 5-10+ years of Product Management, Business Analysis or equivalent experience with Life Sciences SaaS experience, preferably eClinical SaaS experience.
  • Direct experience with Regulatory, Clinical Trials, and Validation is very important.
  • Direct experience in Life Sciences Regulatory and Quality systems preferred, including RIMS, QMS, eCTD, and Document Management or Content Management workflows.
  • Experience in common tools such as MS Office, Jira, Aha, Abstract, Mira, Lucid Chart, Balsamiq or similar design tools as well as BDD, TDD, and testing tool sets is a plus.
  • Ability to translate and communicate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Solid skills in analyzing customers needs to write detailed requirement documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, internally and externally, especially with customers and sales-force.
  • Direct experience with a variety of reporting platforms such as Jasper and Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience in B2B mobile apps and web applications is a plus.
  • Startup background is a big plus. 
  • Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong Ability to manage multiple tasks and large complicated projects simultaneously, in a cross-functional environment.
  • Comfortable with speaking to large audiences (20+ people). 
  • Strong presentation, analytical, and logical skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to travel 15%.
  • BA in Computer Science, Business, or related field required. MBA, Graduate or Post Graduate degree in IT, Business Management or Marketing ideal.
