Job Description

PharmaCann is looking for an experienced data-driven and consumer centric marketer with high energy to drive our SEO strategy with a focus on both technical and content in a fast-growing cannabis industry. The SEO Manager will be responsible for developing the SEO strategy to drive organic growth for Pharmacann.com and Verilife.com. This role will continuously transform based on the user experience, markets, and best practices.  

The SEO Manager will drive strategic growth of our organic channels with a focus on increasing traffic, sales, acquiring customers, and content creation while implementing SEO technical best practices. This role will play a critical function in growing our eCommerce footprint in all our retail markets. The SEO Manager will own all technical SEO recommendations, SEO friendly content creation,  market planning, budget and ROI analysis.  The SEO Manager will be passionate about digital marketing, be an expert of analytical tools and must be in tune with emerging technologies and trends. The SEO Manager will also be comfortable in an agile environment that thrives in a fast-paced culture with tight deadlines and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a highly regulated industry.  The ideal candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker who can proactively problem solve and contribute solutions with a deep understanding of digital marketing. This position will report directly to the Director of Digital Marketing.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

·        Develop actionable technical and content SEO strategies to drive traffic and sales growth; including onsite optimization and off site authority building

·        Focus on data and optimization by tracking all web analytics for SEO

·        Implement SEO tools and manage external partnerships

·        Ability to project manage initiatives, communicate deadlines, and proactively provide business insights

·        Create SEO friendly content for all digital channels to promote by working with internal and external resources

·        Generate SEO technical audits and share the results and recommendations with leaders across Marketing and IT to develop the long-term SEO roadmap

·        Conduct market and company research, competitive benchmarking and assess our market position for SEO

·        Analyze and present key performance indicators and produce regular reports to leadership 

·        Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community

·        Embodies the culture, values, and tenets of PharmaCann and full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives

Qualifications

●       5+ years of SEO experience

●       Proven track record of building a successful SEO channel and team

●       Technical and creative competency and with the ability to learn new systems while working with internal teams and external partners

●       Strong analytical, consulting, problem-solving, and conceptual skills

●       Proven experience in working with IT departments to recommend technical SEO optimizations

●       Expert knowledge SEO tools (SEMrush, ahrefs, screaming frog, etc) and best practices 

●       Ecommerce experience required, cannabis experience a plus

●       Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
