Job Description
The Social Media Manager is responsible for creating and leading the organization’s social media strategy and execution. The Social Media Manager will play an integral role in bringing our brand portfolio strategy to life (corporate, product and retail dispensary brand) through owned and paid channels.
The Social Media Manager is responsible for the daily monitoring and engagement across multiple channels, as well as monthly reports on growth. This role requires strategic planning and execution of social campaigns & new product launches to drive awareness, retention, and growth. It also requires a significant commitment to providing creative content consistently. This role will also manage the online reputation for all of our brands.
The Social Media Manager will be self-motivated, creative, a continuous learner and have a strong record of producing results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Duties and responsibilities
Be the architect of our social strategy to increase channel engagement, growth, and drive increased traffic to our sites and our stores.
Create and continuously evolve social media strategy that aggressively grows brand affinity, engagement, reach, audience and drive traffic to our sites and our stores.
Be the 'voice of the brand' in social channels
Lead all social communication with fans and followers.
Accountable for all copywriting for social media posts while managing daily social communication and listening.
Ability to write persuasive copy, combining thought leadership, emotion, and information.
Stay on top of daily cultural trends and relevant content opportunities.
Maintain the ability to keep feeds growing and engaging from a holistic perspective.
Develop and manage content calendar generating timely, relevant and impactful content across social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
Experience in performance reporting and delivering insights that drive recommendations to improve and grow channel base and engagement over time continuously.
Have working knowledge of social media management scheduling, automation, and social listening tools such as Sprout Social or HootSuite.
Identify and work with social media influencers to increase brand awareness and visibility.
Set specific objectives and report on social media ROI.
Regularly update team on insights gained from social media monitoring to help evolve marketing strategies.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in social media/content management/reputation management (B2C/ retail experience preferred)
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing
Must have a fierce love of learning, writing and creating clever content
Excellent communication, collaboration, writing and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail
Confident in publishing copy and content to mass audiences
Strong project management and organizational skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate insights into actionable plans
Team player but can also work well independently
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, complex, highly regulated and evolving industry
Strategic and creative thinker who can proactively problem solve and contribute solutions with precision
A doer that can take concepts ideas to execution
Flexibility to work weekends from home (for posting on social and engagement only)
Bonus Points: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Photography skills Video Editing skills
