Job Description
This position will require local travel within the state. Couriers are responsible for safely, securely, and lawfully transporting cannabis to patient delivery sites, as well as ensuring strict adherence to all delivery and manifest protocols and controls. Couriers will work alongside a partner to provide security for the staff and product from our dispensaries to off site locations. Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)
The delivery courier is responsible for delivering products to patients safely.
Transports products to our patients’ homes quickly and accurately.
Verifies medical marijuana patient identity
Accepts payment for product and obtains required signatures upon delivery
Follows proper inventory procedures, loads/unloads and operates a vehicle safely
Must be able work alongside a partner in a cooperative team environment to provide secure product
delivery from our dispensaries to delivery sites.
Assist with packaging deliveries and checking against the order form
Must ensure product is properly secured prior to delivery
Contacts delivery patient as needed
Accurately file and maintain manifests and cash transaction logs after each delivery
Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product delivery
Maintain vehicle maintenance logs
Works in the dispensary as a Patient Care Representative when scheduled deliveries are complete
Back up OSS role as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D minimum
State Law requires 21 years of age or older
Confident navigating by using maps and GPS
Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
Pass a comprehensive background check that includes a criminal history
One to three year(s) prior or equivalent experience as a driver preferred
Maintain a current driver’s license and good driving record
Steady employment history
Perform his/her duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations
for this industry.
Carry out all procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with, OSHA regulations, PharmaCann
SOP’s and all applicable procedures.
Cross-train on and working alongside the remainder of PharmaCann’s team as needed.
Maintain a positive attitude
Communicate well with employees
Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
Working conditions
Ability to be in a car for long periods in all weather conditions/seasons.
Job may require regular weekend and evening shifts.
Physical requirements
Ability to sit for long periods of time and get in and out of an automobile several times a day. Must be able to
lift up to 50 pounds, carry product, totes and push carts. May be required to drive for long periods.
