The Marketing Director of Innovation is responsible for leading the team that is building the vision, executing and commercializing all projects related to Renovations, PPA, Close-in Innovations, Breakthrough Innovations and Sustainability for Perfect Snacks. The product experience of a Perfect Bar is the #1 driver of Equity for the brand and the Marketing Director will be responsible for designing the growth strategies to fulfill our fast-growing ambitions for years to come. In this role, the Marketing Director will be in the beating heart of the organization, leading a team, collaborating with R&D Teams, Consumer Insights Team, Operation, Finance and Sales to bring ideas to reality.

Job Description

Essential Duties:

  • Deliver Net Revenue and Growth Margin targets per Annual Contract.
  • Lead the product strategy and vision into 3+ year and annual strategy planning process.
  • Develop a robust rolling 3+ year innovation calendar and pipeline, well balanced between PPA/renovation, Innovations (close-in and breakthrough)
  • Partner with MDLZ on R&D shared model development and rollout
  • Execute all PPA, Innovation, Renovation projects with excellence.
  • Oversight of packaging design for all Innovations
  • Lead Sustainability strategy for Perfect Snacks, create vision and lead cross-functional team around it.
  • Support annual budget planning process and oversight to monthly variance reporting.  
  • Collaborate with sales team on annual plans around Innovations/PPA.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and organization-wide to drive innovation initiatives, with both internal and external teams.
  • Collaborate with our co-founder on new product development.
  • Manage team and direct reports with energy and enthusiasm, coaching talent to develop and grow competencies and capabilities and seek out learning and development opportunities

Qualifications

Skills / Qualification / Education:

  • 10+ years of experience working with progressive CPG and/or emerging, entrepreneurial brands  
  • Highly collaborative and able to navigate cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to lead and develop team, using strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong strategic skills, able to build compelling Innovation Strategy rooted into brand’s positioning and brand’s purpose.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience and/or passion for natural products industry
  • This role will require 10% of travel

Additional Information

Compensation: $150k - $170k / Year DOE 
Bonus / Benefits / Vacation / 401k Eligible

Must live in the US to be considered
