We’re looking for an experienced brand and people leader to join our marketing team at Perfect Bar.  In this role, you will oversee our total communications ecosystem, including media, partnerships, influencer marketing and organic social, leading content and campaigns to ignite brand awareness and build short and long-term equity.  This role will collaborate cross-functionally within our organization and with external agency partners to take our growing brand to new heights as the undisputed leader in refrigerated protein bars!

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee our total communications ecosystem across paid, owned and earned, including advertising campaigns, paid media, organic social, paid partnerships, PR and influencer marketing
  • Lead core equity campaign development and execution/production working with our external creative agency and internal creative team
  • Partner with media buying agency and creative teams to develop and execute powerful media plans that deliver on marketing KPIs
  • Oversee paid partnerships, ensuring content delivers on communication objectives and delivers lasting brand impact and flawless in-market execution
  • Oversee influencer marketing, including management of contracts and deliverables with 3-5 partners on a quarterly basis
  • Partner with PR agency to ensure Perfect Bar is earning media to expand its brand awareness and recognition
  • Oversee total marketing advertising and marketing budget, with assistance from Brand Coordinator (direct report)
  • Oversee organic social media to meet brand and platform KPIs with assistance from Social Media & Content Manager (direct report)

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of a brand’s communications ecosystem, and how all the touchpoints work together to drive awareness and equity; previous experience leading brands across paid, owned and earned media
  • Deep understanding of paid media, including strategy, buying and tactical execution.  Must have experience in overseeing digital-first paid media plans
  • Experience working with external creative agencies to develop and execute breakthrough creative platforms and campaigns
  • Previous experience managing influencer relationships and content oversight; we work directly with influencer partners to align on content and deliverables
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports

  • Proven experience managing and growing talent; this role has 2 direct reports (Organic Social Manager, Brand Coordinator)
  • Strong consumer empathy
  • Experience rolling out campaigns across multiple touchpoints in paid and owned media
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Extremely organized and thrives on multitasking, fast-paced environments
  • Strong decision maker, with comfort working autonomously
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Team player who can work across and within teams to deliver results


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in brand management and/or brand marketing, ideally in the food, beverage, or personal care/beauty industry
  • Strong working knowledge of the competitive landscape, especially small to mid-scale food CPG brands
  • Experience partnering with external agencies to produce winning results
  • Previous people leadership experience


Additional Information

Compensation: $110-$125k / Year DOE
Bonus / Benefits / Vacation / 401k Eligible
