Job Description

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as the cross-functional lead to Accounting and Operations and, through sound financial and accounting concepts, actively participate and lead portions of month-end close, the strategic plan, target setting, and the annual long-range planning process.
  • Responsible for developing and managing cost accounting and the standard cost process, day-to-day cost analysis, Bill of Materials (“BOMs”), and variance analysis; including, detailed analysis of purchase price variances and excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Maintain data integrity for standard costing; this includes bi-annual cost revaluations, data maintenance, reconciling NetSuite system to cost ledger, and working cross-functionally to understand and optimally communicate impact.
  • Develops, maintains, and performs complex calculations and detailed analysis to support operational and strategic plans, operating budgets, modeling, and other benchmarks.
  • Analyze monthly cost variances and Budget vs Actuals (“BVAs”), to identify any discrepancies and disconnects, understanding profit margin impacts and recommending cost savings opportunities.
  • Analyze large data sets to produce short- and long-term forecasts, as well as to make contemporaneous projections and actionable insights on a timely basis, while also evaluating efficacy of cost savings and strategic initiatives.
  • Build analytical methods for exploratory and explanatory business insights and share solutions to support decision making process.
  • Authorize effective Business Intelligence (“BI”) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support.

Qualifications

Who We Want...

  • Experienced Accounting or Cost Management analyst
  • Extensive experience and proven success in supply chain analytics
  • 3-5 years of relevant, progressive experience with a solid background in Accounting, Finance or Operations (Analytics) and an understanding of GAAP
  • Quantitative, with strong attention to detail and high degree of comfort with large volumes of data
  • Expert proficiency with analytics tools and BI software, such as Power BI
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems and related technologies
  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills: Ability to interact with and present financial analysis to all levels of management, ability to influence and persuade, great presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, self-starter with the ability to work with time sensitive deadlines independently
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to think strategically and act proactively to build trust and confidence with stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a consistently evolving and everchanging environment
