A Bit About the Role...

The Brand Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the SVP & the Marketing Team in budget Management, Planning and Execution of brand building activities.  This individual contributor will partner with the marketing team and cross functionally to ensure flawless execution of budget, administration, marketing activation and Team Events.  The role will be reporting to the Sr Director of Equity & Communication. 

Essential Duties...

Budget (40%)

  • Assist in forecasting and monitoring Advertising and Communications and Overhead spend
  • Support marketing team by forecasting current monthly/quarterly/annual spend
  • Work cross-functionally with finance and marketing to actualize spend on a
  • monthly/quarterly/annual basis and make spend adjustments where needed
  • Reporting on current budget; calling out favorability on a bi-weekly basis
  • Manage marketing team accruals
  • Assist key stakeholders with monthly FLASH and BvA approvals


Team Events/Administrative (15%)

  • Assist marketing team with logistical planning of internal/team events 4X per year
  • Any other ad-hoc projects assigned by marketing team


Marketing Support in activation (30%)

  • Assist with sampling mailings to potential earned media and partners and other events (like in-person sampling).
  • Coordinate shipments for marketing team, including but not limited to sending product or swag to media, influencers, ambassadors, agency partners, and/or consumers.
  • Day to Day lead for social ambassador program, corresponding with potential and existing brand ambassadors.


POs and Contract Management (15%)

  • Assist with on-boarding new vendors, manage contracts and vendor payment information
  • Track and approved vendor invoices
  • Create, monitor and manage PO’s for marketing team in NetSuite

Qualifications

Who We Want...

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such Marketing, PR, Advertising.  Passion for natural products industry a bonus.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in budget management, team admin
  • Dedication and passion for accuracy
  • Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectation of self and team.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, ownership and accountability for business
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback.

Additional Information

Must be located in San Diego area, and able to come to headquarters office ~2 days a week

Compensation: DOE
