Our creative teams are currently working on several exciting titles: Gemini is our new project being developed with Square Enix; Maverick is a Triple-A game developed in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation; Bifrost, Victoria and Dagger are projects we're growing in the self-publishing model. We also have one project in the concept phase – Red; as well as two projects in VR technology – Green Hell VR and Bulletstorm VR - an exciting VR version of our cult-classic shooter.

Project Gemini is a yet unannounced AAA game developed with Square Enix – the publisher of our recent AAA title, Outriders. The game development involves primarily our Europe based teams.

 

Job Description

  • As a Sound Design specialist, you will be one of the main driving forces in creating inspiring & original audio content, while maintaining a strong sense of sound-to-picture accuracy. 
  • In close collaboration with the Audio Director, you will define key elements of the overall audio vision of the game including realistic components (weapons, ambiences & active environments), pure fictional & abstract content (skills, characters/creature, VFX sound expressions ) & more, all in relation with the game’s fantasy & narrative.
  • Participate in the refinement of the production specifications & timeline estimates supporting all audio-related content.
  • Collaborating with all other teams, you will advocate & facilitate audio contribution within gameplay mechanics, systems & gameplay realization intentions. 
  • In direct relation with the audio team, you will be sharing your expertise, providing mentoring & guidance on pure sound design methodologies & techniques for both interactive & linear content.
  • Initiate & lead sound research initiatives.
  • As a senior team member, you will jointly participate in elevating every other colleague's work through your sharp artistic expression & inspiring feedback.
  • Participate in the definition of technical guidelines for audio content creation, pre-mixing/mastering & track export vs target in-game audio mechanics.
  • Drive regular audio content & system pre-mixing sessions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with multiple shipped AAA titles in Sound Design leadership role.
  • High-level sound design skills & creative expression. Demonstrable artistic preferences & signature in the audio creation approach. 
  • Strong audio realization expertise on linear medium.
  • Extensive knowledge of Wwise audio authoring tool workflow & practices, especially for structures creation, optimisation & maintenance.
  • High-level knowledge of additional audio engine solutions a plus (UE Audio, Fmod, etc..)
  • Understanding of node-base system’s principles (BluePrint) &/or keen interest to learn all about them.
  • Experience in location recording, session management & gear specification.
  • Strong experience in multiple DAWs, with a specific interest/comfort in Reaper.
  • Content Sound Design experience in multi-channel formats (quad + 5.1).
  • Some knowledge & interest in the latest audio-related technologies & rendering formats (multi-channel, object-based, ambisonics, binaural).
  • Experience in data structures in anticipation for dynamic & static mix systems.
  • Experience in both linear & interactive-content mixing practices.
  • Positive, collaborative & passionate. 
  • Any music production or execution experience is not required but is to be considered as a contributing factor in artistic versatility.
