Job Description

People Can Fly is looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative and experienced Marketing Director who will lead a team of skilled, savvy and hardworking brand, analytics, marketing and PR professionals. You and your team will be creating and executing global go-to-market strategies to successfully position, market, and launch our games across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and VR platforms.

This is a broad spectrum role with significant business impact, which includes managing marketing channels, product positioning, branding, market research, creator relations, PR and user acquisition. You will also work with the production teams, executives, cross-functional teammates and external strategic business partners, representing the marketing team in discussions and decisions.

Leveraging data both internal and external, you will help to make data informed decisions on new games development and publishing and will take the lead on developing impactful consumer-facing campaigns that will generate brand awareness, create purchase intent, and drive sales across channels and audiences.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience conceiving and implementing digital marketing campaigns, collaborating closely with art and design teams, advertising, web developers, production, media, community, and the broader Publishing team.

Please note, this role must be located in Ireland. All candidates must be located in Dublin, Ireland or open to relocation.

Responsibilities

  • Create, drive and measure global marketing campaigns and the corresponding impact they have on our broader business and product goals, ensuring online data and performance measurement is established upfront.
  • Build and manage the global marketing budget. Conduct return on investment analyses on all campaigns and apply takeaways to future programs.
  • Be the team captain. You will build and lead the marketing organization to achieve the visions and strategies you set forth and make our games reach the widest audience possible
  • Working closely with relevant Operational and Product teams, plan and oversee the annual and quarterly global marketing budget and ensure the most effective marketing budget allocation for the products in your domain.
  • Manage other Marketing teams cross-functionally to deliver campaigns and projects that deliver on business objectives. Drive alignment with Product, Operations, Business Development etc.
  • Lead market research efforts to identify and leverage trends in related industries across all markets for engagement as well as branding opportunities.
  • Identify target audiences and build positioning strategies that will make brands and products stand out and generate interest before, during, and after launch
  • Measure the impact of global performance marketing and brand initiatives by establishing the right KPIs, developing reports and communicating results with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Amplify and leverage platform partnerships to increase games reach and commercial success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant marketing experience in the gaming industry of which a minimum of 5 years have been spent in high-level marketing roles
  • Successfully shipped several AA and AAA titles including games as a service across multiple platforms
  • Demonstrated success managing paid acquisition budget across multiple channels to drive efficient and sustained user and revenue growth
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in building up a new brand and/or launching a new market is a huge plus
  • Build product positioning strategies that factor in market dynamics and user insights
  • A genuine interest in analyzing trends and using data to make informed decisions, but also wanting to innovate and create new paths to success
  • Sound leadership skills, with a track record of managing, coaching, and elevating marketing teams
  • Deep understanding of the gaming industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent track record in at least one of the following areas: Growth Marketing, Digital Marketing, and/or Integrated Marketing (Paid, Earned & Owned)
  • Experience leading a digital go-to-market strategy, marketing calendar planning and performance forecast.
  • Experience building reporting dashboards and synthesizing complex data points and KPIs to generate easy to understand executive reports
