Job Description

We are looking for a Gameplay Programmer who exhibits passion and curiosity in building complex gameplay systems. At People Can Fly you will work with some of the industry’s most exciting technology and work alongside talented individuals. Working across multiple departments and in close proximity with design, you will implement elements of our gameplay systems with a strong focus on the player experience. You will develop and maintain the tools and systems necessary for designers to build new and exciting gameplay mechanics, balance the game and create awesome gameplay experiences.

In this role you will:

  • Work on systems to create world class gameplay experiences
  • Collaborate with artists, designers and other gameplay developers 
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Test, debug, profile and optimize implementations.
  • Create design documentation according to team standards
  • Perform code and design reviews

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in the production of games for consoles and PC
  • At least one shipped AAA project as Senior Gameplay Programmer
  • Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine
  • Excellent skills in C/C++
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong familiarity with Gameplay in a multiplayer game
  • Ability to diagnose problems and make quick and accurate decisions
  • Ability to write efficient and maintainable code
  • Experience with profiling and optimizations
  • A keen sense of what makes gameplay systems fun
  • Excellent communication and team attitude working with game developers from all disciplines

Nice To Have

  • JIRA, Swarm and Perforce Knowledge
  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.)
