Founded in 2002, we made our mark on the shooter genre with titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Outriders. We are one of the most experienced Unreal Engine studios in the industry and we are expanding it with in-house solutions called PCF Framework.

Our creative teams are currently working on several exciting AAA projects with the top publishers in the industry: Project Gemini with Square Enix and Project Dagger with Take-Two (2K), in addition to a new IP to be self-published and two other games in a concept phase. One of our IPs is also being adapted for VR technology.

Job Description

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research for a variety of projects
  • Work closely with the teams to help define their research needs and decide what would be the best approach to successfully completing the research; be it through playtesting, usability testing, surveys or interviews
  • Own the research process from screening participants to defining test plans, analyzing the data, and writing reports, whilst ensuring the teams are continually informed throughout the process
  • Explore new methodologies as and when required and bring them to the team
  • Continually explore new tools and improvements to ensure the player is the primary focus of our titles

Qualifications

  • 3+ years running your own games research studies using both qualitative and quantitative methods 
  • Strong understanding of research principles and be completely comfortable at running playtests, interviews, one-on-one research and survey design
  • Experienced in analyzing data and summarizing the findings into a detailed report in a timely fashion and able to easily communicate findings to the teams
  • Able to work autonomously on a variety of projects
  • Effective at communicating in English and able to put forward your ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Deep passion for gaming - especially shooters
  • Comfortable with Google Suite
  • Familiar with game design theory
  • Degree (preferably advanced degree) in HCI, psychology or other game-related focus or relevant industry experience
