Our creative teams are currently working on several exciting AAA projects with the top publishers in the industry: Project Gemini with Square Enix and Project Dagger with Take-Two (2K), in addition to a new IP to be self-published and two other games in a concept phase. One of our IPs is also being adapted for VR technology.

We are looking for an experienced and proven technical leader who will take a role of Tech Director and will be one of the key players in the game development process defining and communicating the engineering component of a game from its concept through all the way to release and post-launch. 

In close cooperation with the Product Owner, Creative Director, Art Director and the Executive Producer, you will transform high level business requirements and creative visions into a technology roadmap covering an entire game project and lead the team of engineers for its execution.

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Unreal programmer interested in joining a rapidly growing, unannounced project. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment to discuss and test ideas, bringing a game from prototype to final. We are an energetic group with extensive industry experience and committed to building a passionate and diverse team that will push for game quality and experience.

As a technical architect, you will:

  • Define the technical foundation of the game.
  • Understand and evaluate the game code, middleware and their constraints.
  • Understand the game vision and future technical challenges, anticipating both short and long term needs.
  • Participate in building the technical vision of the game, and implementation.
  • Work with the team to communicate project requirements and collaborate on the company’s technical efforts.
  • Be a mentor for programmers and help them make the most out of their day-to-day work by promoting coding guidelines, best practices, and leading regular code reviews etc.
  • Create and review technical documentation for project features.
  • Communicate with external teams to connect opportunities in development plans when they arise, encouraging open and collaborative environments for development.
  • Assist with the evaluation and hiring of new team members.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the software or games development domain
  • Worked on at least one multiplayer AAA title from start to ship
  • Worked on at least one Unreal Engine 4 based game as an Architect, Principal or Senior Engineer
  • Excellent understanding of C++ in the game development environment
  • A sound understanding of software development practices
  • Experience developing FPS games is nice to have
  • Experience developing server-client online games or the relevant technologies is nice to have
  • Experience working with Agile Processes
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills
