Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Production Specialist to join our dynamic team at Penelope. Growing your career as a Full Time Production Specialist is a terrific opportunity to develop competitive skills. The primary responsibilities will be the daily management of the processing and production department overseeing the safe and efficient blending and packaging of the highest quality whiskey. The specialist will work closely with all departments to drive production priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leading a team in packaging high quality whiskey in a safe, clean and efficient manner.

• Plan, Communicate and manage a shift schedule for all processing and packaging staff.

• Building and maintaining a strong team of motivated and educated staff.

• Ensuring clean and sanitary machinery and working environment.

• Develop and implement SOPs in processing and packaging departments to accurately and effectively run production.

• Managing packaging inventories and materials resource planning and advising procurement of purchasing needs.

• Analyzing and reporting on all packaging operations and efficiencies.

• Completing, entering and maintaining daily packaging records.

• Scheduling and overseeing all repairs and maintenance on packaging equipment.

• Working with the department heads and production team to improve processes that encourage safety, quality and efficiency.

• Working closely with the sales team to develop and implement production schedules and priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in processing and packaging/manufacturing facility and/or experience in the alcohol industry.

• Experience and understanding of aseptic packaging procedures, cleaning and sanitation, preventive maintenance, team motivation and management, ordering and inventory management, record keeping and data analysis.

• Preferred experience with quality assurance and quality control plans.

• Knowledge of computers (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe).

• Ability to learn inventory systems efficiently.

• Positive attitude with an ongoing sense of urgency.

• Ability to understand and execute against deadlines.

• Excellent time and people management skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to recognize new applications and processes and the willingness to change for the better of the company.

• Significant experience and expertise in problem solving processes.

• Mechanical aptitude to assess performance of equipment utilized in processing and production operations.

• Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
