This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role in defining the next phases of PenFinancial’s digital evolution – and then helping to bring that strategy to life.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Remember what we said about liking to wear multiple hats?  Here are some of the ways we’re looking for you to apply your knowledge, experience and passion.

Strategy:

·         Participate in strategic and project planning

·         Play a lead role in helping to define PenFinancial’s digital marketing roadmap

·         Closely collaborate with the Marketing Communications Specialist to develop and design marketing programs and campaigns to meet business goals

·         Participate in cross-functional project teams as a subject matter expert for digital marketing strategies

·         Provide input into the marketing budget and assume accountability for delivering initiatives within assigned budgets

·         Source and manage relevant vendor relationships

 

Digital marketing:

·         Identify opportunities to leverage digital marketing to help drive sales, increase referrals, and deepen our relationships with Members

·         Develop, execute and measure marketing automation programs

·         Evaluate regulatory changes impacting digital communications and proactively recommend solutions to adhere to these changes

·         Execute digital marketing activities for PenFi, across all trends digital channels including:

o    Public website

o    SEO/SEM

o    Social Media

o    Email marketing

o    Advertising

o    Intranet

 

Graphic design:

·         Act as the primary graphic designer responsible for delivering visual assets that represent PenFi’s personality across both traditional and digital channels

·         Support graphic design needs for colleagues in other departments

 

Brand governance: 

·         Ensure that our visual brand is clearly articulated and well documented

·         Protect our visual brand by ensuring that everything we do is on-brand

·         Support and educate colleagues in other departments - making it easy for them to also be on-brand

 

Analytics and insights:

·         Proactively define and track key performance indicators, communicate results in a digestible way, and identify areas for continuous improvement

·         Evaluate internal/external data, and assess industry trends to identify marketing opportunities

·         Provide support for market research initiatives

 

Become a brand ambassador:

·         Attend PenFi sponsored events as a representative of the Credit Union, which may include the occasional weekend or evening

·         Look for opportunities to support our community through volunteerism and/or participation on a local non-profit boards or committees

·         Act as a PenFinancial ambassador by looking for opportunities to promote our products and services, and seek referrals from members and non-members

 

·         Perform any other duties as assigned

Technical qualifications

·         The nature of this role requires someone who is equally excited about digital strategy and hands-on execution, so it does require some pretty advanced digital skillsets, including proven experience with:

    • Content management systems, such as HubSpot CMS, BackBase or Forge
    • Marketing and Email Platforms (test and target, optimization, automation, personalization)
    • Marketing analytics and visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Siteimprove, Adobe Analytics
    • Digital advertising, SEO, organic and paid search
    • Social media management, marketing, and monitoring tools
    • HTML5, CSS, Javascript
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • MS Office, SharePoint and Teams

·         A strong working knowledge of online banking and banking app development would be advantageous

Qualifications

·         College or University Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in digital marketing/strategy and graphic design

·         Past experience within financial services and/or credit unions, or a similar industry, is strongly preferred

·         Advanced skills relating to website development and management

·         Experience designing, defining and protecting visual identity

·         Strong understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to interpret results

·         Excellent project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects, meet deadlines, and foster teamwork amongst colleagues

·         Innovative and creative mindset

·         Superior communication skills and attention to detail

·         Confident communicator and presenter, able to communicate technical concepts to business users and senior executives

·         Flexible and agile, able to work in a dynamic environment

·         Committed to ongoing professional development
