Job Description

·         Responsible for the management and effective operation of the Maintenance Department

·         Coordinate maintenance required for all internal and external areas

·         Implementation of preventative maintenance programmes

·         Conducting of maintenance audits and inspections on complex

·         Coordinate staffing functions

·         Monitor operation of complex equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime

·         Provide proper record keeping of all services

·         Perform basic accounting of the department, including procurement of materials and budgeting

·         Ensure that all fire detection areas are operational

·         Must be able to perform Head Office requests, e.g. Business plans, Health and Safety requirements, etc.

Qualifications

·       Matric /Grade 12

·       N6 (Electrical) with trade test at a reputable institution

·       Wireman’s license is essential

Additional Information

·       5 Years of skilled maintenance experience which must have included 2 years of managerial experience

·       Proficient in Word and Excel;

·       Ability to manage a Health and Safety programme

·       Ability to work under pressure as well as a team player;

·       Must be able to communicate at all levels;

·       Good interpersonal and organisational skills required.

·       Knowledge of maintenance planning and administration

·       Shift work is an operational requirement.
