Job Description

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

To manage and operate effective technical services in the Convention Centre and the Emperors Palace complex as a whole.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:       

  • To assist and control all technical aspects within the Entertainment department and the complex as a whole.

  • Build client base and maintain client relations.

  • Plan, implement and monitor conference requirements in conjunction with the Technical Operations Manager

  • Maintain all Entertainments Audio, Audio Visual and lighting equipment 

  • Manage equipment and consumables stock control on a regular basis.

  • Assist with the maintenance of background music systems and on complex screens.

  •  Administer all preventative maintenance programs within the department.

  •  Attend to, follow up on and reply to all enquiries, quotes and confirmations timorously with GNC

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in operating sound and lighting.

  • Sound Engineering Diploma an added advantage.

  • Good organisational skills.

  • Computer literate in Word and Excel.

  • Good communications and sales skills.

  • Must have good interpersonal skills

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:    

Specific job requirements for the position include:

  • Be able to work extended hours and over weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

  1. Matric.

  2. At least 5 years’ experience in operating sound and lighting.

  3. Sound Engineering Diploma an added advantage.
