Job Description
The main responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure all the Gambling Board Rules and Regulations are strictly adhered to.
- Ensure the compliance of the Private Security Regulatory Authority.
- Development of staff through training and knowledge.
- Ensure communication and liaison with all Local Government and Private Law Enforcement, Fire and Medical Services.
- Ensure open communication with the respective Provincial Gambling Boards.
- Plan, organise, co-ordinate and control all personnel in the efficient discharge of their duties.
- Ensure that disciplinary and grievance procedures are adhered to in accordance with Company Policy and Labour Relations Procedures.
- Remedy & comply with internal audit, external auditors, Gaming Board and PSIRA regarding Compliance and Audits.
- Analyse systems, policies and procedures with the aim to enhance the Gaming Security Operations and Gaming Operations.
- Compiling of month end reports and year end reports.
- Implement preventative (pro-active and re-active) measures.
- Frequent risk analysis.
- Implement and oversee Complex Investigations where required.
- Assist with the protection of company assets, staff and guests.
- Direct the execution and solving of all gaming related incidents.
- Ensure proactive and reactive crime prevention and crime counter measures.
- Armed robbery processors, procedures and countermeasures is of primary importance.
Qualifications
You will need to meet the following minimum requirements in order to apply for this position:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years Gaming Security experience, of which 2 years should be in a managerial position
- Comprehensive knowledge of Gambling Board Rules / Regulations is essential
- Good administrative and communication skills are essential
- Excellent planning, problem solving skills are required
- Grade B PSIRA qualification (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) is essential
- High Level of Computer literacy with the following programmes:
- Office Applications
- CCTV Applications
- Cheeteye Security Software
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Required to work in a smoking environment.
- Shift work is an operational requirement.
- Will be required to obtain a Gaming Board Licence from the Limpopo Gaming Board
