Pedago is currently seeing exponential growth and is expanding its team accordingly. We’re seeking a Digital Marketing Director to serve as the strategic paid marketing leader for Smartly. Job Description

Overview: The Digital Marketing Director is materially involved in defining the company’s strategic plans and shares responsibility for the future growth and success of the company. You will grow and manage a multi-million dollar advertising budget across multiple digital performance marketing channels, including paid search, paid social, display advertising, retargeting, affiliates, and streaming radio. You will own the performance of high-impact digital marketing programs, as well as the development of new/emerging performance marketing channels, and the testing, budgeting and reporting standards thereof. You will have responsibility over Marketing KPIs and be tasked with growing revenue and profit.

In order to succeed, you must thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment, and bring a hands-on approach to the role. The Digital Marketing Manager must be a collaborative leader with strong writing and communication skills, and a data and experiment driven approach to growth.

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:

  • Develop, test, and scale strategic acquisition marketing plans to target and acquire new customers using a variety of marketing channels.

  • Own, and assign ownership of, relationships with Channel Partners such as Google, Facebook, Adobe, and other performance media publishers.

  • Drive the exploration and execution of new media channels/campaigns.

  • Manage Marketing Analytics to build campaign testing plans.

  • Deliver post-campaign performance reporting and work with Marketing Analytics team on deeper analysis.

  • Define reporting requirements and cadence for all media channels

  • Partner with internal and external design professionals to drive extensive creative execution campaign development and testing

  • Work effectively cross-functionally to ensure team collaboration and promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in digital marketing channels

  • 3+ years experience building/managing digital marketing teams

  • Data-driven mindset with experience developing a KPI framework and tracking performance against stated goals

  • Experience running large scope projects with cross-over departments

  • Experience working with, communicating, presenting, and reporting to C-level executives

  • Experience working in a highly-matrixed organization and managing multiple groups of stakeholders

  • Very strong analytical, quantitative, and communication and presentation skills

  • BA/BS in a quantitative field (MBA preferred)

  • SQL proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for leading teams and exceeding business expectations

  • Experience building/managing teams to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business

  • Experience in performance-based agency or in-house marketing teams
