Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Head of Talent to lead Talent Operations at PayNearMe. Reporting to the VP, People, this individual will own and elevate how we attract, hire, onboard, and retain exceptional team members globally.
You’ll be responsible for developing a scalable and compliant global hiring infrastructure, shaping our compensation strategies, and ensuring every new hire is set up for success from day one. This is a highly visible role with frequent engagement with senior leadership and an opportunity to shape the next phase of our growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead Talent Acquisition Strategy: Own end-to-end hiring processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and speed across all departments and geographies.
- Manage and Mentor Recruiting Team: Lead a small team of experienced recruiters, providing guidance, development, and support to ensure they continue to deliver excellent results while growing their skills and impact.
- Build a Scalable Global Hiring Model: Design and implement international hiring frameworks that are compliant, culturally integrated, and aligned with our values.
- Develop Onboarding Programs: Create high-impact onboarding processes that integrate new hires quickly and effectively into their teams and our culture.
- Enhance Compensation Frameworks: Manage competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs that support attraction and retention goals.
- Ensure Global Compliance: Maintain and enforce policies that align with employment laws and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Partner closely with People Operations, Legal, and Finance to streamline workflows, reduce time to hire, and improve hiring metrics.
- Be a Cultural Sounding Board: Act as a trusted thought partner to the VP, People and broader leadership team, proactively identifying gaps and pushing back thoughtfully when needed.

Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in Talent or People leadership roles, ideally in high-growth startup or scaling environments
- Proven experience managing and developing a team of recruiters, with a track record of building collaborative, high-performing talent teams
- Deep expertise in full-cycle talent acquisition, including sourcing, structured interviewing, and candidate closing
- Experience designing and executing global hiring strategies and navigating international labor laws
- Strong understanding of compensation philosophy, benchmarking, and total rewards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across teams and senior leadership
- Operational mindset with a bias for action, attention to detail, and systems thinking
- A proactive and pragmatic style—calm under pressure, culturally attuned, and not afraid to push back when needed

The Company collects identifiers and professional or employment-related information, which may include some or all the following: real name, nickname or alias, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, membership in professional organizations, professional certifications, language skills, and current and past employment history.
