Job Description
Content Manager duties and responsibilities:
Design content strategy for web, email, and social media marketing, including SEO
Deliver strong, engaging content to multiple audiences that drives web traffic, audience engagement and brand awareness
Write, edit, and refine digital copy to ensure consistent message
Revise and optimize dated content using information gathered in SEO research
Analyze performance metrics and deliver timely reporting with data-driven insights
Recommend and implement new and innovative marketing methods
Stay up-to-date with digital media technologies and latest trends
Delegate, review and edit content production, including conceptualizing the projects upfront, assigning projects and overseeing development
Build a Social Media Content Calendar
Create social media content calendar to best engage target audiences, build awareness, convert and retain followers
Develop a plan for relevant, original, high-quality content (posts, videos, images) for all relevant social media platforms, including:
LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
Recognize popular themes and culturally relevant moments that target audiences engage with
Identify key Social Media KPIs and create a dashboard for regular performance updates
Content Manager requirements
Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
Proficient in navigating social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Copy writing and content management experience
Leading, collaborating with, and managing a team
Self-starter willing to take initiative and own projects
Demonstrates effectiveness in meetings and task forces
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization (both internal and external)
Excellent storytelling, written and verbal communication skills
Effective project management and time management skills are critical
Ensure fulfillment of the mission of the organization
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated, creative mind who understands social media and can take the reins with little to no instruction!
- High School diploma or GED equivalent with copywriting experience OR junior/senior college student OR recent college graduate
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, English, or Journalism
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms
- Creative Mindset
- Social Media awareness on new trends and experience creating visually appealing posts, stories, reels, and other related content
- Familiar with multi-social scheduling through platforms such as Hootsuite
- Experienced professional with relevant experience are welcome for Volunteer Position.
Additional Information
Time Commitment: 8-10 hours/week for 12 weeks (Total: 96-120 hours) for Intern
For Volunteers its 8-10 hrs per week for 4 to 6 months
