Job Description

About the position:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Underwriting & Claims Case Manager to join our Life & Health EMELA team in Dublin. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and administration of life and health reinsurance underwriting cases and claims, ensuring that underwriting decisions are made efficiently in line with PartnerRe’s high standards of service. This position is central to our operational effectiveness and client service delivery.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end management of underwriting cases and claims, from initial receipt through decision communication and documentation.
  • Liaise closely with medical underwriters, claims managers, medical officers and client managers to ensure accurate and timely processing of cases.
  • Monitor case queues, service level agreements (SLAs), and turnaround times, ensuring adherence to PartnerRe’s quality and responsiveness standards.
  • Communicate professionally with cedents (clients), requesting and clarifying necessary information to facilitate underwriting & claims decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records and data within underwriting & claims systems.
  • Contribute to the improvement of workflows, tools, and documentation within the Life & Health underwriting & claims function.
  • Support data analytics and trend analysis for operational insights and performance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, data privacy regulations, and relevant local regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Technical skills/competencies:

  • Fluent (written and spoken) in English and French required. Additional European languages is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and eager to learn to use our internal tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and operational frameworks in France, Ireland, or broader EMELA region, is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and life/health underwriting & claims processes is a plus.

 

Behavioural competencies:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multitasks.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively across functions and geographies.

 

Work experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a life and/or health (re)insurance environment, ideally within underwriting / claims operations or case management.
  • Prior experience in an insurance or international (re)insurance environment preferred.
