About this job:

Reporting to the Head of Marine & Upstream Energy Treaty your responsibilities will be to: 

• Support and foster a culture of agility, high performance, client centricity and solution-oriented decision making.
• Provide a market presence and continue to build the PartnerRe brand with key clients and brokers.
• Handle results-oriented underwriting by building-up, developing and monitoring a technically sound and profitable portfolio, this includes pricing in co-ordination with Pricing Actuaries and ensuring that all underwriting actions and decisions are properly documented
• Interact effectively with other UW teams and Actuarial, Global Accounts, Claims, Reserving, Technical Accounting, Legal & Compliance and Underwriting Office
• Handle administrative task, such as review contractual documents and endorsement requests, data input, maintain data quality of portfolio, etc. 
• Analysis and monitoring of market trends, economic and legal developments and assess its impact on the Lines of Business & business development.

About you:

• Relevant underwriting or broking experience in the (re)insurance Marine &/or Upstream market
• Engagement with major clients and brokers to represent and develop the PartnerRe brand
• Portfolio management and optimization experience with demonstrated ability to manage a profitable portfolio
• Strong understanding of market trends, and application of such to identifying improvement opportunities
• Experience working in a diverse and multicultural environment
• Proficient skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Salesforce
• Other languages such as French, German, Spanish would be advantageous
• Adaptable, open for new ideas and technology
• Readiness for travel
