Job Description

Employee will leverage their knowledge of engineering principles to meticulously design, evaluate, and optimize drilling/completion strings. This critical position demands a strong understanding of structural mechanics to ensure the deployment of the most efficient and reliable equipment, pivotal in achieving our operational objectives

Essential Functions:

Collaborate closely with customers on projects

Collaborate with various inter-company departments to ensure project success

 Design Completion/Drill Strings and perform necessary calculations to verify adequacy using industry torque and drag software along with in-house calculators

Provide torque and drag analysis for Completion/Drill String

 Adhere to Company and Client specifications and standards

 Provide technical support to operations and customers on equipment

 Checking consistency in equipment specifications

 Active rig site visit

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities:

Four-year ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

2 years or more related experience preferred

 Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software

Entry Level Coding experience and willing to expand on it

Ability to create and review technical documents

 Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

 Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

Positive team attitude

Knowledge of the following preferred, however not required:

 Drilling, completion, workover, land, inland, and/or deepwater experience

Oilfield tubulars: drill pipe, heavy weight, drill collars, landing stings, and tubing

Rotary shouldered & tubing connections

Handling tools

Blowout Preventers & Stack Equipment

Oilfield machine shops

Ability to learn how to perform torque and drag analysis

 Ability to learn how to run drill string and landing string analysis

 Ability to travel, approximately 3-5 days per month.
