Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Eastern Hemisphere Security Manager is responsible for the overall regional PW security. The role will be the main focal point for all security-related matters and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance on related threat levels to PW activities, staff, and sites. This will include intelligence analysis, strategic planning, mitigation guidance, emergency response, betterment of security postures, and monitoring of security being provided. There is also a requirement to design and develop operational risk strategies to ensure that risks are managed to the best economic advantage of the company. There will be a requirement to take part in the tendering process and contract execution from a security perspective.
There will be a requirement for international and local travel across the EH operational countries and this may include austere environments or living conditions. There will be instances where the incumbent will be required to be away for > 24 hours as part of their routine duties will be required.
Qualifications
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS will include but are not limited to the following:
- EH primary SME for security and related risk management via the provision of effective intelligence analysis, threat assessment, security treatments, and continued mitigation.
- Foster a culture of security and safety awareness across the EH region.
- Report regularly to the EH VP, EH HSSE Dir, and Corporate Security Manager on all security matters, intelligence, and incidents within the area of responsibility.
- Establish and maintain a strong relationship with business partners and other key stakeholders.
- Formulate timely and effective advice and guidance to the company’s business units and PW leadership on threat assessment and security risk management, especially in key existing and future geographical areas.
- Assess, develop, test, and review security plans, policies, and processes for the mitigation of risk, management of incidents, continuity of operations, and maintenance of business resilience.
- Oversee governance, risk and compliance requirements, security and safety education, investigations, threat management issues, commercial vendor support, and the integration of organizational plans, policies, and procedures.
- Review and continually improve EH activities and processes to meet PW’s high-risk travel.
- Provide security inputs into the incident response and crisis management capabilities.
- Assist in the development, maintenance and update security plans at a regional and country level.
- Review and ensure that site-specific security risk assessments are conducted for current PW operations or prospective facilities/activities.
- Ensure security-specific Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) are in place and aligned with the threat & PW Global Security risk management objectives. Any Identified gaps are to be addressed via the management chain to ensure corrective actions are applied.
- Generate and distribute security reports to PW stakeholders as required.
- Ensure that Global security policies and standards are implemented and that EH-supporting policies procedures and practices are aligned.
- Conduct security awareness training for EH staff as required.
- Ensure that security drills and components of established security plans are understood and exercised by PW personnel at all locations.
- Coordinate with client security POC(s) to ensure that PW processes, practices, and procedures remain current with the security measures required for current or evolving threats.
- Collaborate with country HSSE staff on Journey Management inclusive of route selection, security risks, control measures, and reporting.
- Maintain contacts and information networks to ensure PW remains informed of security trends in the area of operations.
- Coordinate security projects which will include tendering and contract execution.
- Coordinate protection of PW personnel, property, and information.
- Inspect and evaluate physical, technical, and operational security controls in the area of operations.
- Support investigations into security incidents and provide technical reports of the findings.
- Liaise with third-party security providers for contract execution and performance. Where necessary contract management meetings and KPIs are to be set, monitored, and reported.
- Coordinate with the HR team to monitor Personnel on Board (POB) registers and site-specific security plans are implemented per country and routinely tested/reviewed.
- Abide by company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by EH VP or EH HSSE Dir.
POSITION SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- A security professional with a minimum of 4 years experience working within the security industry at a managerial level.
- Prior experience within an internationally recognised military, law enforcement, security provider or intelligence service.
- Comprehensive understanding of security integrations, interactions and communications.
- A comprehensive knowledge of current threats in the region as well as an ability to identify and implement best practices for mitigating security risks.
- Able to formulate, develop and deliver strategic planning for security related matters.
- Experience with the tendering process and contract execution for security elements.
- Experience of managing third-party contractors.
- Must be able to travel freely within the the EH sphere, taking into account visa requirements.
- Fluent in both written and verbal English. Proficiency in other languages are seen as a benefit.
- Effective communicator and able to deliver security related presentations or training.
- Intermediate computer and microsoft office skills.
- Proven experience of working in environments with the oil & gas sectors is preferred.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) / Physical Security Professional (PSP) is desirable.

Physical demands / work environment
The normal level of physical fitness required for international travel and rig access.
The post will be based within the EH sphere preferably where there is access to a PW office. This can be altered to accommodate the right candidate.
There will be a level of international travel across the EH sphere of operations and sites.
