Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Tubular Running Services (TRS) product line in achieving their quality and performance objectives.  The TRS Quality Advisor supports the Operations and other functional teams in all phases of service delivery to our customers.  This role promotes operational discipline and procedural discipline, in accordance with the Parker Wellbore Integrated Management System (IMS).

Essential functions

  • Support and advise the Well Construction (WC) / TRS product line on service quality and management system initiatives.
  • Manage, schedule, and maintain an internal assessment/audit program, in alignment with internal IMS, customer, and industry standards such as ISO9000 and API Q2.  Serves as lead auditor.
  • Develop Service Delivery Plans (SDPs) for awarded contracts and special projects
  • Promote awareness of both customers’ critical success factors (CSF) and internal key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Liaise with customers’ quality representatives to proactively meet customer expectations and specifications.  When necessary, investigate customer complaints and non-conformance;
  • Identify and verify completion/effectiveness of corrective and/or preventative actions to improve performance.  Ensure initiation of actions to minimize the likelihood of non-conformances occurring. Manage the investigations and reporting of non-productive time (NPT) and conformances
  • Work with procurement staff to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.  Conduct assessment/audit of suppliers and contractors whose scopes may have direct impact on the quality of our service provision.
  • Ensure compliance to the Information, Documentation, & Records (IDR) program.  Work with the Product Line to ensure Control for Work practices and procedures are defined and made available to TRS Product Line personnel.
  • Identify relevant quality and technical training needs amongst the Well Construction team.  Delivery and verify effectiveness of training, where appropriate. 
  • Coordinate and contribute to the Competency assessment program of TRS Product Line, in collaboration with Operations leadership.
  • Actively participate in and lead cross-functional team efforts as they relate to process improvement, and the sharing of Service Quality knowledge and lessons learned.
  • Provide statistical data and qualitative analysis on the performance of the Well Construction product line.  Use said data to promote a culture of continual improvement. 
  • As necessary, participate in technical projects and service design reviews that may engage engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and other supporting functional business partners.
  • Utilizes and promotes a culture of Stop Work Authority as a means of enforcing Procedural Discipline throughout the Product Line.

  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance and tubular running services.
  • Working knowledge of systems based on API Specification Q2 
  • Experience in performing audits. API Q2 or ISO certified auditor preferred.
  • Must have ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Motivated team player, able to work with team members to meet deliverables.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize a heavy workload, bringing forward well-developed recommendations to the Product Line.
  • Understands detailed workflows for tubular running services activities, Maintenance, Procurement, and Asset Management.
  • Must be able to work with a team dispersed over multiple locations.
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to respond to and anticipate information needs and present that information in a clear concise manner. Able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors.
  • Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
