Job Description

This position is responsible for managing complex accounting transactions as it relates to book reconciliations and stock compensation and accruals in accordance with federal guidelines and the Company’s policies and procedures.

Essential functions

Management of and compliance with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close and consolidation processes – responsible for managing the entire monthly close process performed at Corporate from beginning to end.

  • Review and approve account reconciliations and post necessary adjustments.
  • Develop staff members and addresses all required and appropriate staffing matters.
  • Supports Assistant Controller and CAO in the preparation of analyses and schedules for use by senior management in the daily management of the business.
  • Develop staff members and addresses all required and appropriate staffing matters.
  • Develop and generate Ad hoc, monthly and annual reports required by management and auditors.
  • Prepare/review various year-end schedules required by auditors.
  • Coordination of periodic reviews by Internal and External Auditors
  • Ensures the operation and effectiveness of key process (operational and financial) controls through regular review and periodic self-checks.
  • Develop, maintain and apply policies and procedures specific to cash processes, book reconciliations, stock compensation and general accounting principles.
  • Follow all Company policy and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or International Business is required.
  • Should have at least 7 years of work experience.
  • CPA certification or equivalent international certification is preferred.
  • Must have strong knowledge of public Company SEC reporting requirements, US GAAP, and other applicable international reporting guidance (i.e IFRS)
  • Should have experience in supervising others.
  • Must have excellent PC skills to include all MS Office products with an extensive knowledge in accounting technical skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to present oneself in a professional manner.
  • Must be detailed, organized and task oriented to manage rapid growth and increasing demand for information and results.
