Job Description

The Risk Analyst II supports the areas of claims management, insurance renewals, litigation, enterprise risk management, general legal support and administration, risk education and communications and crisis management programs by performing the following duties.

Essential functions

  • Conducts property and injury claims investigations, provides litigation support, and coordinates reserves and settling of onshore and offshore claims matters.
  • Provides timely information to third party administrators and claims adjusters for matters that may exceed the self-insured retentions or deductibles.
  • Provides guidance to the Accounting department for accruals and premium allocations.
  • Assists the Director of Risk Management in gathering renewal data and actively working with brokers and underwriters in the insurance policy renewal process.
  • Educate and support corporate departments and field divisions on the identification, quantification, control and management of the company’s exposures.
  • Assists the Director of Risk Management and the Legal Department in developing training modules for personnel.
  • Provide support for the execution of the crisis management and enterprise risk management programs, document changes and make suggestions for program enhancements.
  • Provides general administrative support for the Legal and Risk Departments, tracks and preserves historical claims and risk information and associated metrics, and assists in document management for the programs under the direction of the Director of Risk Management. 
  • Provides overflow assistance, as needed, to support the Compliance and Legal departments.

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities

  • College degree preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • At least 3 years of risk, claims management, paralegal, legal administration and/or insurance related experience
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency required
