Job Description

Reporting to Parker SVP of Global Business Development, the Energy Transition Director will develop and implement Energy Transition business strategies and tactical plans that meets Parker’s ESG and financial objectives and targets, while promoting and utilizing Parker Wellbore’s existing service and product portfolio, and in addition, exploring expansion of our service line portfolio in the Energy Transition business segment. The Energy Transition Director will be working closely with the Geo-Market teams and central functional teams.

Energy Transition is defined as: Geothermal, Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (“CCUS”), and other sustainable, renewable, and clean energy markets and technologies.

Essential functions

  • Ability to immediately support ongoing Energy Transition business and passionately grow revenue in this business segment. 
  • Energy Transition-related leadership experience, working with an Energy Transition-related company with more than 10+ years of related international experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate customer needs and challenges and either preempt them or create effective solutions to overcome them while expanding market penetration.
  • Working with senior management to develop annual and multi-year global business strategies for the Energy Transition business segment.  Expand market share across Parker's respective Geo-Markets, act as the ambassador for the business segment, both internally and externally.
  • Lead Energy Transition business growth to support double-digit CAGR over the next 5 years.
  • Innovate and Identify new products, services, solutions, and strategic partnerships that advance Parker Wellbore’s Energy Transition Strategy.
  • Drive business segment information flow and ensure implementation of key learnings across Geo-Markets. 
  • Provide global subject matter expertise (SME) for the Energy Transition business segment and keeping updated on the competitive landscape and provide input into Parker's Energy Transition strategic and tactical road map.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to key accounts, and partner with Geo-Market and local BD/Sales to assist in preparing tenders/bids/contracts that expand sales and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Promote Parker Energy Transition through Marketing Communications on social media channels, attending trade shows, media events, and conferences, and by preparing Energy Transition business segment marketing & collateral pieces.
  • Commercial & financial acumen at the Enterprise level is required. Ability to plan, lead and manage the business and operational change in a proactive manner driving strategy and meeting or exceeding performance measures that lead to financial growth.
  • Actively participate in company growth activities both organically and inorganically (e.g. asset/technology investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, business partnerships, etc.).
  • Plan and manage capital investment and expenses in accordance with Parker’s DOA policy and budget plans.
  • Investigate and communicate Energy Transition government funding opportunities and initiatives available to Parker.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in the Energy Transition business segment, inclusive of minimum 5 years Geothermal and/or CCUS experience, or relevant sales and operations experience from other industries or segments.
  • 5+ Years of International experience.
  • Proven ability to Influence and communicate (interpersonal and presentation) at all levels of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • 40% Domestic and Global Travel.
  • Global strategic planning and subsequent business development in the Energy Transition business segment
  • Proven aptitude for effective decision-making and complex problem-solving.
  • B.S. or B.A. in Business Administration, Engineering or relevant field.  An M.S. or MBA in a related field is a plus.
