Job Description

This position is responsible for providing leadership, first line supervision, and technical support to drilling rigs worldwide to meet or exceed corporate target goals for HSE, drilling performance, and maintenance compliance for the global rig fleet.

Essential functions

  • Provide technical support for existing operations, and new build construction.
  • Manage the maintenance policies and processes within the organization, providing standard work procedures and oversite where needed.
  • Manage and update internal processes and procedures relative to API and other regulatory body standards and requirements as needed.
  • Monitor and participate in the inspection of projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for maintenance activities. Inspection of sub-contractor’s work upon completion to ensure that applicable regulatory body standards and requirements are adhered to
  • Interact professionally with clients (Internal and external), as well as vendors; maintains effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management team to effectively meet departmental objectives.
  • Develop and report the KPI’s for maintenance activity completion, maintenance activity status, equipment failure reporting, and Well Control Equipment failure reporting.
  • Reports monthly CMMS statistics, and equipment failure reporting.
  • Collaborates Equipment Failure Reports in Industry Safe with work order activities created in the CMMS.
  • Catalogues, reviews and approves Work Order Change Request Forms, (WOCRFs) and approves updated procedures for the CMMS activities as needed.
  • Mentors Maintenance personnel to include: Planners, Schedulers, and Maintenance Supervisors
  • Develops and issues internal communications when required relative to equipment operation, safety bulletins, product information bulletins, and alerts as necessary.
  • Organize and plan monthly maintenance meetings with all regional maintenance managers, supervisors, planners and schedulers to discuss on going equipment issues, CMMS system improvements, and regulatory body updates.
  • Organize and plan monthly meetings with key vendors and operations groups to facilitate information sharing.
  • Abide by Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities

  • Must Possess a High School Diploma
  • Must possess 10+ years of skilled or semi-skilled maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above
  • Must be able to read and write in English in order to prepare daily reports.
  • Must be able to write technical documents for maintenance instructions and maintenance training materials.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to recognize hazards, alarms and warnings and the ability to convey these to the proper personnel.
  • Must possess mathematical skills as required in order to perform the primary functions of the job as shown above
  • Must possess the necessary computer skills in order to perform the primary functions of the job as shown above.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
