Job Description

The Dispatcher will be responsible for maintaining effective communication link between the base(s) and the customer by answering customer calls, communicating with crews and management, and data recording.

Essential functions

  • Handles incoming calls from customers, coordinate requests for pick-up and delivery and ensure timely service.
  • Records and documents information and distributes to appropriate departments, including: customer location directions, service issues and opportunities for improvement, and safety issues.
  • Maintains records of personnel and equipment logistics, as well as maintains the “Job Board” for the operation.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely movement of personnel and equipment to customer’s locations.
  • Relays customer requests to field personnel and management.
  • Gives clear, complete, and accurate information to field personnel, supervisors, management, and customers.
  • Reviews and confirms completion of all required field based forms and reports, including: Equipment Load Out forms, Delivery Tickets, Journey Management forms, Field Job Books, Equipment Fault Reports, End of Job Reports, Customer Evaluation forms, and Field Service Tickets.
  • Prepares forms from billings, statements, invoices, receipts or vendor data, including processing crew tickets and entering issue slips for customers using different billing procedures
  • Keeps proper record of all jobs in work log according to established guidelines
  • Maintains paperwork and price tickets, posting log books, recording mileage logs on trucks
  • Keeps time cards distributed and tallied, making distributions of truck books, collecting pre-trip/post-trip reports and referring any irregularities to proper management for handling
  • Coordinates, schedules and communicates information to crew and field personnel, as well as organizing and tracking relevant information according to customer demands
  • Represents Parker Well Services in a professional manner.
  • Attends Parker Well Services QHSEE&T meetings.
  • Reports any shortcomings or status of non-conformance.
  • Ensure that personal behaviors and work practices are in line with Company safety standards.
  • Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Provide visible HSE leadership engagement, be aware of housekeeping and other required safety precautions, and do not take shortcuts or any other unnecessary risks that expose themselves or others.
  • Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company procedure.
  • As needed, seek advice from HSE representatives.
  • Responsible for “Stop Work Authority” when a task changes or an unsafe act is witnessed.

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities

  • Must hold a High school diploma
  • Minimum of one (1) year basic oilfield well services experience, or work experience in a related field
  • Previous dispatch experience required
  • Understanding of the working components of a tubular running operation preferred.
  • Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must have experience with office equipment including copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
  • Should be a detail oriented, self-starter, and able to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to work both cooperatively and independently and set priorities in the context of operational impact.
  • Possess a good attitude and the ability to learn new skills.
  • Must be a team player, willingness to help.
  • Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures and priorities, or work environments.
  • Ability to read and write English; Being multi-lingual is preferred.
