Job Description

With direction form the AP Manager this position will processes invoices/vouchers in a timely and accurate manner as set forth by Company guidelines.

Essential functions

Routes all unapproved invoices to correct department to obtain approval.

Correctly codes all invoices using appropriate accounts.

Timely and accurately enters all invoices into the computer system for payment.

Set up new vendors as needed.

As directed, train new AP Analysts.

Research past due invoices as needed.

Request copies of unpaid invoices and forward to appropriate department for approval.

Work closely with outside vendors and other departments as it relates to financial transactions throughout the Company.

Handle issues with vendors pertaining to payment disbursement, prepayments, incorrect payments, etc.

Exhibit friendly, positive and team-like behaviour.

Follow all Company policies and procedures.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors and guests.

Provide visible leadership engagement, be aware of housekeeping and take additional safety precautions to ensure no one is put at risk.

Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company procedure.

A High School diploma is required.

Must possess mathematical skills.

Should have at least 5 years of work experience.

ERP Software experience preferred.

Must be capable of working in a team environment.

Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.

Must be able to operate a 10 key by touch and type 40+ WPM.

Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products.

Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors.

Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.

This position will typically work in a climate controlled building in the corporate office of Parker Drilling.
