Job Description

Position Summary: 

Responsible for managing a case load of clients by providing co-occurring (substance use and mental health) personalized individual, interactive, and group treatment.

Essential Functions:       

  1. Conduct individualized client treatment sessions weekly
  2. Facilitate a variety of gender-specific groups including, but not limited to, activity, process, and psycho-educational
  3. Comply with MN Statute Rule 245G requirements regarding timely paperwork and documentation
  4. Provide support and intervention in crisis situations
  5. Maintain a positive, professional and ethical demeanor with clients and within the community while following a strict code of ethics
  6. Participate in multidisciplinary staffing meetings weekly
  7. Participate in weekly supervision meetings with the Clinical Supervisor
  8. Work alongside peers to offer and receive support when needed

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  1. Must demonstrate competence in screening for and working with clients with co-occurring disorders; through education, training and experience
  2. Knowledge of MN Statute Chapter 245G and licensing and its application to the department and company’s policy and procedures
  3. Ability to work in alignment with company values, goals, policies and procedures.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with co-workers
  5. Ability to establish priorities, manage projects, and meet deadlines
  6. Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
  7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and electronic medical record system; or ability to obtain proficiency after training

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  1. Must be a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or have the ability to obtain an Alcohol and Drug Counselor Temporary permit (ADC-T)
  2. Must obtain and maintain required continuing education units and training

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position, working Monday - Friday
