Job Description

I.         JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the Receptionist provides general customer service support for all of the programs by answering phones, responding to clients entering the building, and paging staff members as required.

II.        DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Answers incoming phone calls transferring calls as needed and paging staff as needed. 
  2. Records messages for clients and posts them on the client board.
  3. Light clerical work such as data entry, filing, and making of folders.
  4. Greets and directs clients and visitors.
  5. Finds appropriate staff member to respond to client needs.
  6. Regularly make coffee and clean coffee area between client breaks.

Qualifications

  1. Must be able to pass a background check through the MN Department of Human Services.
  2. At the time of hiring, must be free of chemical use problems for at least the one year immediately preceding and sign a statement attesting to that fact.
  3. Must be able to maintain positive public relations with referring agencies and business community at large.
  4. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  5. Must possess good verbal skills and be capable of presenting positive professional image.

 

Additional Information

This is a part-time position averaging 29 hours or less per week with current shifts available from 3:00pm-6:00pm, M-F.  The starting wage is $13.25/hour.
