Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Billing Data Clerk is a non-licensed professional in a Substance Abuse Treatment Program who audits group attendance sheets, time entries, and clinical charting. The Billing Data Clerk spends most of their time auditing client’s charts to ensure client attendance to programming is compliant. The Billing Data Clerk may also periodically conduct a variety of clerical tasks as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Verify, correct and enter client group and individual attendance into the Electronic Health Records system.
  2. Audit client data to ensure attendance logs and clinical information are up to date and accurate.
  3. Maintain regular communication with Billing Manager and Clinical Staff regarding client data and other information learned about client.
  4. Responsible to provide quality assurance for billing data.
  5. Ensure that program administrative operations are conducted in compliance with all pertinent local, state, and federal laws as well as all other mandated requirements
  6. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Computer literacy required
  3. Previous experience with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system or computer billing system strongly preferred.
  4. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to achieve outcomes and meet billing deadlines
  5. Must have analytical, data entry, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Must have a working knowledge of issues regarding confidentiality.
  7. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills and present positive professional image.

Additional Information

This is a part-time position, 25-29 hours, working Monday through Friday, days.
