Description:

Rapidly growing proprietary trading firm with five offices in Chicago, London, New York City, Ottawa, and Sydney, seeks to add a Build and Release Engineer to join an already established Technical Operations Department. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, traders, and quantitative developers to implement, manage, and maintain a new continuous integration build process for our proprietary software and hardware systems. You will be responsible for helping implement, optimize, deploy, and maintain all tools associated with the development process including third-party libraries, compilers, continuous integration software, static analysis tools, memory checkers, profilers, etc. You will be responsible for evaluations of all development technologies, taking part in the maintenance of the source code repositories, and maintaining the development environment and workflow. You will coordinate across three geographic regions that include Asia, Europe, and the United States. This position will be located in the Chicago office.

Qualifications:

-Proficient in an object-oriented scripting language such as Python or Ruby.

-Minimum of 5 years of trading environment experience.

-Solid understanding of development methodologies and tools.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Strong process management skills.

-Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-A self-motivated personality with a passion for solving complex problems.

-Linux proficiency, Windows skills a plus.

-Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree.

-Major area of study: Preferably Computer Science or Engineering.

-Strong GPA (3.0 or higher).
