Company Description
The PaperCut Story
At PaperCut, we believe two things: great work can change the world, and a great flat white can change your morning.
Now, let's be honest, “print management” doesn't usually make people leap out of their chairs. But here at PaperCut, we've turned what used to be the most boring part of IT into one of the most exciting, impactful, and rewarding places to work in tech. How? Simply put: our work saves trees!
We're a B-Corp certified Australian-headquartered success story on a mission to make our customers' tech footprint waste-free, easy, and secure. Still founder-led right here in Melbourne, our global footprint spans 195 countries, 100,000 companies, and 140 million end users (that’s roughly 1 in every 50 people on the planet!).
Job Description
We have a progressive, high-performing, and intellectually curious workforce. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a sharp, empathetic GTM Data Product Specialist to step into a full-time role, build instant trust with our leaders, and help us navigate complex people dynamics with a cool head.
What You'll Actually Do
PaperCut is building toward a decentralized data mesh - domains owning and producing their own data as a product, rather than one central team owning everything. GTM will be one of the first domains stepping into that model, and as GTM’s Data Product Specialists within the Commercial Operations team, you’re the person who makes that ownership real, not a central analytics team fielding requests. You’ll start from GTM’s biggest unsolved data and process problems, not from report requests. You’ll decide what “good data” looks like for Sales, Channel, Marketing, and Customer Success, build the few things that actually move those problems, and change how the domain works with data so people aren’t waiting on you for every answer.
Support Strategic Planning & Revenue Forecasting: Collaborate with Finance and GTM leadership on annual planning, revenue forecasting, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and overall global GTM strategy.
Optimize Sales Processes & Automation: Streamline GTM workflows by turning data into an accessible product, applying AI tools and automation to reduce manual friction, and designing sales incentive/commission structures with leadership.
Own GTM’s data agenda: Identify and prioritize the 2-3 data or process problems doing the most damage to pipeline, forecast accuracy, or GTM efficiency, and drive them to resolution, not just visibility.
Drive Reporting & Performance Analytics: Use AI, SQL and data analysis tools to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data, building actionable dashboards and reports that track sales trends, KPIs, and help course-correct performance.
Manage Tech Stack & Data Governance: Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate sales systems, maintain strict data quality controls, monitor data flows, and create team training/documentation to boost tool adoption.
Own GTM’s Semantic Layer: Define the entities, relationships, freshness requirements, and ownership for GTM’s core data objects (pipeline, funnel, forecast) so they mean the same thing everywhere they’re used - the foundation piece other domains will follow.
Assess AI and Agent Data Readiness: Before any AI tool or agent touches GTM data, evaluate whether it’s actually fit for that use case - clean, governed, and traceable - rather than letting automation run on data nobody’s validated.
What You Bring to the Table
We respect expertise, give you autonomy, and value solutions over rigid rules. You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
Technical & Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, warehousing concepts, and hands-on experience using analytical tools to maintain data governance and troubleshoot quality issues.
Influence & Change: Proven ability to change how a team works with data - not just report to them, but get them to adopt new practices, even without direct authority.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong capability to partner effectively across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and IT to deliver end-to-end operational solutions.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Excellent analytical capacity to transform raw data into clear growth strategies and actionable business insights.
