Job Description

Panopta is looking for a passionate individual to join our product development team. Panopta product managers play a critical role in the design, development and delivery of our monitoring applications to our highly valued customers. Product managers work closely with leadership and engineering to improve our product offering by adding new features and continually improving existing functionality. You will also work with sales, marketing and support to coordinate the rollout and delivery of these enhancements to our customers. Our team is extremely fast paced and agile, so expect a great deal of satisfaction from seeing your ideas come to life quickly in a fun and enthusiastic environment. 


Responsibilities:

1. Develop requirements for all product improvements (bugs, enhancements and new features)

2. Collaborate and lead discussions with leadership and engineering to develop final user experience; including developing mockups and work flows

3. Plan, schedule and track development of the improvements through out the product lifecycle using an agile methodology

4. Communicate product / feature benefits to customers and internal stakeholders (marketing, training, customer support and sales);

5. Ensure the product built by engineering and tested by QA meets original specifications and expectations

6. Research and understand our competitors in order to help further define our areas of focus and strengths 

7. Continually manage the product backlog and ensure competitive advantages are always being met 

Qualifications

1. BS in either Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Computer Science preferred. 

2. 1-3 years experience as a business analyst, or product analyst or product manager in a software company

3. Software development life cycle (SDLC) experience with business or consumer applications - you should understand how software is built

4. Must be a fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, solution oriented and flexible in work style

5. Experienced in agile development methods and tools to track and maintain software development schedules

6. Effective use of software tools to assist in collecting, analyzing and presenting ideas

7. Experience with JIRA and other Atlassian products is a major plus, but not required.
