Job Description

Pangiam is seeking a AI/ML Project Manager / Product Owner that will be responsible for managing the day-to-day planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting for mission critical border security project using Java and machine learning technologies. 

The candidate will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the delivery of multiple projects and dependencies being executed by other teams within the organization
  • Lead 4-5 person agile team
  • Support system engineers
  • Jira/confluence
  • Ensure end-to-end workflow design and delivery
  • Allocating and/or tracking resources across multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of SELC and associated documentation (project plans, charters, business cases, requirements documents, test plans, reports, etc.)
  • Creating project plans and managing them accordingly
  • Working closely with business and solution resources on lifecycle deliverables
  • Generating weekly status reports in several formats
  • Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, etc.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Document project risks and mitigation plans and communicate to the stakeholders
  • Ensure all the processes are documented and followed for compliance
  • Contribute to project scoping, including requirement assessment, best practices, application design and development, methodologies, and budget recommendations
  • Develop and give trainings to CBP Personnel

Qualifications

  • Work with the business users on a daily basis to help them to perform their daily functions using the IT systems
  • Facilitate interactions between end users and developers
  • Ability to interact with wide range of customers daily
  • Comfortable presenting materials and answering questions in both classroom and one-on-one settings
  • Enthusiastic attitude with excellent verbal and written communication and analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently within a small team environment
  • Ability to multitask effectively and complete basic tasks beyond title-specific responsibilities
  • A Bachelor’s in Degree and experience in training is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
