Pangiam is seeking for entry level Full Stack JAVA/JEE Engineers for a multi-year contract to support the ongoing modernization and maintenance of the CBP information systems, using JAVA/JEE. 
 
A Day in Review:

• Design and implement JEE software applications
• Use modern software engineering tools and methodologies including Eclipse, and Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence)
• Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations
• Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology

Skills that will be use regularly:

• HTML, JavaScript, CSS (required)
• AWS (EC2, S3, etc.) (required)
• 1+ years Java JEE (required)
• jQuery, Angular, React
• JEE Web Tier Technologies (JSP, Servlets, MVC Frameworks)
• SQL (required)
• XML
• Unix, Linux
• JEE Servers (like Spring boot, Tomcat, WebSphere, etc.)
• Database Connectivity (JDBC, JPA, Hibernate)
• Experience working with users to define requirements and demonstrate solutions
• Experience designing and delivering complex, highly scalable software components

Required Experience
The ideal candidate must have:

• Strong Java development skills and Object-Oriented programming
• Familiar with different Data structures
• Comfortable with HTML and JavaScript
• Familiar with XML and JSON data formats
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Unix/Linux operating system

• Experience with jQuery, Angular, React
• JEE Web Tier Technologies (JSP, Servlets, MVC Frameworks)

• Developing 100% automating unit tests

Education:
A Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field with applicable experience is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
