Your Career
Palo Alto Networks's SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished leader to design, develop and deliver next- generation technologies within our SDWAN team.
You will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies in the SD WAN area. You will work with a multi-functional team of engineers solving interesting problems in the SDWAN area. We want passionate leaders who love to code and build great products. Engineers who bring new ideas in all facets of software development.

Your Impact
Design, develop and implement highly scalable software features on our SDWAN solution
Design and implementation of large distributed systems
Database design and implementation for custom use cases, graph and time-series databases, in-memory databases
Work with different development and quality assurances groups to achieve the best quality
Suggest and implement improvements to the development process Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues
Mentor and coach team members
Qualifications
Your Experience
9+ years of career-level software development experience
Strong leadership skills with a can-do attitude
High energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Enjoys working with many different teams with strong collaboration and communications skills
Experience building highly available, scalable and performant systems Fast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologies
Familiarity with machine learning and related topics
Extensive hands-on programming skills in C/C++, Python and Go
Expertise in control plane, data plane, and security features of SD-WAN platforms. Experience with DPDK is beneficial.
Knowledge of multi-core/multi-process/multi-threaded programming Experience with network packet processing software development Experience with large-scale and/or high-performance software design and development with strong OS concepts.
Networking and Routing
Expertise with standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNs
Expertise of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IPSec, QoS, NAT, and policies etc.
Firewall, IPSec, SSL, VPN
TLS internals, cryptography, and OpenSSL
Application layer protocol experience with one or more of the following HTTP, SMTP, SIP, etc.
Cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCE, Kubernetes Virtualization, such as ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V are beneficial.
M.E./B.E. degree in Computer Science/Engineering
