Job Description

Job Summary

As the Director of Product Design in Bangalore, you will be the senior-most design leader for our platform layer, guiding a large, globally integrated design organization. You will operate as a trusted partner to Product and Engineering, ensuring coherence where multiple products and workflows intersect. This strategic leadership role focuses on evolving systems, aligning the organization, and building trust to solve complex challenges at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve a clear UX strategy for the platform, making informed tradeoffs to translate long-term vision into executable near-term decisions.
  • Lead the Bangalore-based design organization, focusing on recruitment, mentorship, and development of design leaders to build a culture of accountability and executional excellence.
  • Cultivate an environment of psychological safety and high standards, delivering direct, respectful feedback to build trust and drive performance.
  • Proactively collaborate and build trusted partnerships with senior leaders in Product Management and Engineering to shape strategy and reduce friction.
  • Define, track, and hold teams accountable for platform-scale outcomes such as adoption, time-to-value, and reduction of user friction.
  • Challenge the team curiously and positively to ensure they are solving the right problems through thoughtful experimentation and discovery.
  • Communicate complex interaction and systems concepts with clarity and confidence to senior leadership, connecting user needs with business and technical goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in UX or Product Design in complex, technical domains.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing senior design leaders in large or distributed organizations.
  • Proven experience leading design for platforms, design systems, or multi-product ecosystems where coherence and reuse were critical.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex technical domains and build credibility through sound judgment and decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in modern discovery and delivery practices, with the judgment to adapt them to context.
  • Direct experience leading geographically distributed teams and navigating cultural and operational complexity.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
