Job Description

Your Career

We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and creative Events Manager who is passionate about events in this ever-changing environment with a focus on innovation and delivery of attendee experiences as guiding principles. In this role, you will be responsible for managing events in the Palo Alto Networks portfolio, specifically  third party industry events, CxO and proprietary events.

With a focus on details, in this role you will be responsible for owning and managing  the Palo Alto Networks Global Events. Events include Ignite On Tour, Industry third party events such Mobile World Congress, AWS re:Invent and and CxO Events.  

This role will reporting directly to the Director, Global Events at Palo Alto Networks

Location: This is a hybrid role based out of either our Santa Clara or New York City offices.

 Your Impact 

  • Manage and support event planning and execution deliverables (may include giveaways, gamification, housing support, expo pass distribution)

  • Be on-site at events to provide operational support (registration desk, booth staffing, etc)

  • Provide hospitality service support at executive events (book and manage customer and executive transportation, on-site host services, food and beverage coordination)

  • Support speaker management activities including: organizing speaker training, scheduling reviews and rehearsals, managing speaker communications and speaker related forms, as well as providing virtual speaker support for online events and/or on-site speaker support - Work directly with content owners to drive deliverables to deadlines

  • Own budget management (including requesting purchase orders, tracking spend, mapping expenses)

  • Effective project management including creation, ownership and adherence to timelines and templates

  • Manage work streams and ensure they are delivering  tactical tasks such as submitting Asana tickets, creating a workback plan, setting up microsites or registration pages, attending meetings and taking notes. 

  • This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in event planning and engagement marketing. This role requires a forward-thinking individual with proven event planning, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • 5+ years experience in Event Marketing (hospitality or event experience preferred)

  • Cybersecurity industry experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Detail- and service oriented

  • Creative, collaborative, and resourceful

  • Proven passion for learning and growth

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

  • Positive and motivated self-starter

  • Budget tracking experience preferred

  • The ability to travel 30-40% is essential for this role.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $113,000 - $182,500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
