Your Career

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. (NYSE: PANW), is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.  We need a technically savvy facilities leader to help manage our expanding real estate portfolio as we grow and  scale.  As a member of the Global Places & Security (GPS) team, you will be leading the technical facilities function to ensure the highest reliability in our building infrastructure and systems to efficiently support the business.  You will work closely with vendors to align their performance, and drive optimized processes leveraging your deep experience in MEP systems and best management practices to predictably operate building systems, plan for capital replacement and preventative management needs for our workplace and specialty spaces such as labs and data centers.   You will lead in a fast-paced, complex environment while elevating and driving an excellent customer, employee, and guest experience.  

This role is based in our HQ, Santa Clara, CA.

Your Impact

  • Lead day to day facilities operations activities in coordination with external vendors
  • Lead the Operations team of internal staff and external vendors, and work with peer teams to identify required engineering changes in infrastructure systems, define project scope, prioritize projects, schedule, and execute these projects
  • Conduct and certify Quarterly Business Reviews for key vendors, including review of Service Level Agreements, and Key Performance Measurements
  • Direct the development and review of operational standards, methods of procedures for consistency and reliability
  • Plan and execute campus operational budgets, expense forecasting, and manage established budgets
  • Partner with leadership and key stakeholders including HR, IT, EH&S, Security to build and sustain a best in class employee experience and workplace environment
  • Partner with Project Delivery & Design throughout the build phase to ensure operational requirements are met and the buildings are ready for operations - Participate in the commissioning for new and retrofitted space
  • Find solutions to reduce operational costs and maximize reliability
  • Prepare facility operations post-incident reports, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
  • Develop contingency plans for equipment failure and demonstrate strong leadership during incident management
  • Develop & review metrics and compare against industry benchmarks to meet or exceed KPIs
  • Ensure operations remain compliant with all required safety and environmental programs
  • Respond as needed to system after hours maintenance and system complications
  • Some travel maybe required

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 10+ years facilities operations experience, 5+ years experience in team management
  • Experience leading site services and programs and have broad knowledge in the areas of facilities management, including building MEP systems, EH&S and regulatory compliance
  • B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent military experience required
  • Experience working as a facilities manager/chief engineer, and general site operations for a large campus, including critical systems operations 
  • Availability for 24/7 support for critical operations and events
  • Have great relationship-building, and collaboration skills
  • Experience negotiating contracts and preparing RFPs for various activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Possess strong vendor management skills
  • Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Experience communicating and presenting complex material effectively
  • Worked in high growth, complex tech environments

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $134,600/yr to $217,800/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here
