Your Career

Palo Alto Networks, The Network Security Company, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Document Control Analyst to join our exciting, fast growing company. The candidate should be a self-starter and thrive in a collaborative environment that values results. This individual will be responsible for the advancement, administration and continuous improvement of the Arena PLM system in support of Engineering and Operations. The candidate will establish best practice and process creation, document release, change order analysis and reporting. This position will report to the Document Control Manager in Technical Operations. 

Job Description

Your Impact

  • Responsible for writing and managing Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO), Document Change Orders (DCO), Deviations (DEV) in support of all new product releases and sustaining activities

  • Completion, input and maintenance of item master, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM) structure, part documentation in the Arena PLM system

  • Review and maintenance of the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and Approved Materials List (AML)

  • Establish and lead change control review meetings as necessary to meet objectives related to the document control process

  • Coordinate the Product Change Notice (PCN) process prior to production release and be the operations focal point for the PCN process after production release

  • Participate and support the continuous improvement of Change Control and Document Control processes for development and production items with cross functional teams

  • Add and maintain PCB documentation, mechanical drawings, product and process documents, etc. and the check-in/check-out of these documents

  • Maintain the accuracy of data in the Document Control databases

  • Maintain related change management tracking sheets in Google Sheets as change orders are created, processed and released

  • Apply appropriate Rev to Track and Interchangeability Rules and adherence

  • Ensure accurate Disposition and CM Implementation Rules are defined in each change order

  • Direct file release and product change management to all suppliers and EMS / ODM Partners

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 5+ years of direct experience in document administration in a hi-tech environment

  • Direct experience with the Arena PLM system and/or an equivalent PLM tool

  • Extensive experience supporting engineering, manufacturing operations, suppliers and EMS partners

  • Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials and associated engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation

  • Familiar with materials and production processes and planning

  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent communication skills are a must, both written and verbal

  • Ability to drive for results in a timely manner working cross functionally in a highly collaborative manner

  • An organized self-starter, who can multitask in a very fast paced environment

  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides) is a plus

  • Experience with setup, implementation, and administration of Arena PLM system workspace settings is a plus

  • Project or program management experience is a plus

  • Leading cross-functional teams
