We have the vision of a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. These aren’t easy goals to accomplish – but we’re not here for easy. We’re here for better. We are a company built on the foundation of challenging and disrupting the way things are done, and we’re looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the future of cybersecurity as we are.

Job Description

Your Career

The Palo Alto Networks team responsible for our Global Service Provider and MSSP partners is looking for a strategy and business development minded individual to add expertise and experience as we develop the next phases of our SP/MSSP routes to market. Working directly with the Palo Alto Networks and our SP/MSSP partners, you will primarily be tasked with evaluating new strategic business opportunities for the partnership, creating a clear understanding of aspects like the addressable market, the necessary business plan components, the GTM strategy, launch and marketing initiatives, as well as assisting in the development of the support and governance plan. Working more broadly, you will get involved in a range of strategic and tactical initiatives to support the partnership team, including generating plans to expand our reach and output from existing joint solutions.

 Your Impact

  • Structure and break down complex business problems, develop a hypothesis, drive analysis and deliver recommendations in a data-driven manner
  • Lead thoughtful and rigorous analysis across large data sets and synthesize insights and opportunities
  • Develop and present high-quality recommendation and deliverables (G-Suite) for executive level consumption and contribute to associated strategy and execution discussions
  • Work collaboratively across a cross-functional set of stakeholders to gather the right information, pressure test your hypothesis, co-create deliverables, accelerate execution and unlock value

 Your Experience

  • 2-3 years relevant work experience with management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, etc.), private equity or top-tier tech strategy or “bizops” functions (Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc.)
  • 4-5 years relevant work experience in business development or partner development roles, ideally within a top-tier technology vendor, security or general high tech
  • Effective verbal and written communication ability and comfort with both business and technical discussions with senior audiences
  • Experience in building relationships and leading through influence
  • Great teammate, willing to passionately roll up their sleeves and work cross-functionally to get things done
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with minimal supervision
  • Expertise in the cybersecurity industry and knowledge of the market is a plus but not required

Additional Information

The Team

Our Global Service Provider and MSSP team is a relatively small group of hand-selected individuals driving our relationship with Service Providers and Managed Security Service Providers globally. This focused and experienced team works directly with SPs and/or MSSPs, as well as internally and externally to run our joint business plan. This role will be critical to ensuring we execute on time and on plan.

We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.
