Your Career
At Palo Alto Networks, we build the world’s most advanced cybersecurity platforms. The manufacturing operations team is responsible for the manufacturing capabilities to build our next generation network firewalls. We are looking for a talented RF test engineer with extensive experience in developing test systems for 3G/4G/ 5G and WiFi. The ideal candidate is expected to have a deep test design knowledge of the intricacies of high speed wireless networks, and be able to design and build test systems for factory deployment.
Your Impact/Role
Responsible for development of manufacturing test systems for wireless products, encompassing 3G/4G/5G/WiFi 6(802.11ax)
Evaluate product designs and drive for industry leading test coverage through improvements in product design in DfT
Design, develop and implement wireless test strategies for new products and provide expertise on parametric measurement requirements, e.g. TX power, RX sensitivity, vector/modulation accuracy, OTA and conducted testing, etc.
Lead development of test fixtures and hardware requirements for deployment
Provide RF troubleshooting guidance and leadership to contract manufacturer (CM) on manufacturing failures
Perform failure analysis, drive root cause activities and implement effective fixes across manufacturing and repair facilities
Build and scale manufacturing lines and ensure smooth operation of the test lines in manufacturing and repair
Participate in cross functional project teams, collaborate with supply chain and HW/SW engineering
Able to work independently
Qualifications
Your Experience
Advanced working knowledge in at least one of following wireless technologies: 3G/4G/ 5G and WiFi 6 (802.11ax) implementation and manufacturing test
Advanced expertise on digital and analog design, nice to have.
Experience with manufacturing test requirements, designing, documenting and building ATEs for radio parametric measurements at PCBA level as well as system level conducted and OTA tests
Experience with ATE system calibration and radio calibration.
Familiar with instrumentation control and measurement, including RF power meters, base station emulators, vector signal generator/analyzer, e.g. Anritsu MT8000 family, R&S CMW500 and or LitePoint IQXEL.
Test program development on Labview or equivalent
Experience with wireless instrument device driver API is a plus
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with SPC.
BS/MS in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
8+ years experience in 4G/5G/wifi test development
