We are looking for a seasoned cyber-security professional who is capable of excelling in a fast paced, global environment to take ownership of technical marketing activities related to our advanced endpoint protection offering. You will engage closely with our product management teams to design and build differentiated messaging and technical content to increase awareness and demand. You will also leverage your technical background in endpoint security to analyze the competition and build hands-on demo environments and workshops for customers.
The Senior Product Marketing Manager at Palo Alto Networks will be a key player in the transformation of the enterprise security market. It will be your mission to successfully evangelize and position our products and solutions for multiple audiences – customers, partners, analysts and press. You will spend time engaging with product management, sales, and customers to develop a command of our target audience, key pain points they are experiencing, our unique value proposition and the competitive landscape. You will use this knowledge to develop compelling messaging, product literature, presentations, and sales training.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, expand marketing materials for advanced endpoint protection
- Build and maintain demo environments and workshops
- Conduct competitor analysis and share competitive intelligence internally
- Develop speaking proposals and speak at industry conferences
- Conduct market analysis through regular customer and partner surveys
- Develop regular customer success stories using a series of creative formats including video, infographics, and blogs.
- Develop and maintain sales tools to support the sales cycle.
- 8+ years of high tech global product management and/or marketing experience, or customer-facing endpoint security expertise.
- Technical background with ability to get hands-on with the product
- Able to spot trends and anticipate the market
- Demonstrated experience in developing technical content
- Strong relationship management and team skills, flexible, attentive to detail and quality
- Experience working with global teams on multiple projects and programs
- Strong ability to multitask with proven track record of execution on initiatives/programs
- Strong communication skills: writing, verbal, presentations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a related role in technical marketing, product management, sales engineering, or solutions architecture
- Strong Unix/Linux skill set including installation, management, administration and shell scripting is a plus.
- Experience with installation, management and administration of applications and components such as Oracle, MySQL, tc-server, Apache, Tomcat, Java apps, LAMP stacks, etc., is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science; advanced degree is a plus
